I3 - information intelligence 2 insights software comes with three versions: i3 ANALYSIS, i3 REPORT (as a bundle) and i3 STANDARD as a free version.

The free version has to be registered via this website on the CONTACT page. Major and minor updates as well as updated import filters will be distributed to REGISTERED NAMED USERS only. Information about updates will be provided on the UPDATES page of this website.

THIS agreement refers to the free STANDARD VERSION of i3 (SOFTWARE)

The SOFTWARE can be used without license or other costs.

Though the SOFTWARE is free to use the following terms have to be agreed:

This is an agreement between

OWNER solely grants the right to use the SOFTWARE on as-is basis of the current version number.

The COPYRIGHT of the SOFTWARE stays with the OWNER.  The COPYRIGHT for implemented changes proposed by users remains with the OWNER.

USER must not share the complete program or single files or the documentation with 3rd persons or parties or make them available in any manner, including rent, lease, sell, or give away the SOFTWARE.

USER will not decompile, reverse engineer, or otherwise attempt to discover the source code of the SOFTWARE.

SOFTWARE is a 64 bit application running under Window 11. OWNER does not warrant error-free operations with the mentioned operating systems. Interaction of the SOFTWARE with other software cannot be guaranteed.

Installation of SOFTWARE may be subject to security rules in organizations. To make the installation of SOFTWARE easy the requirements for setup are kept low: ALL files are installed in just one directory (where you have read and write access), no DLLs in system folders, no writing in Windows Registry. If installation may become an issue the OWNER cannot provide support.

As the usage of i3 requires thorough knowledge in disciplines like patent information, structure of databases, or general concepts in management of information the owner of i3 will at NO time take over ANY liability for the results produced with i3 in any context. i3 has been thoroughly tested; if nevertheless a bug is found, please inform the developer asap by email (info@hein-i3.com).

This agreement is governed by the laws of Germany.

Communication in written, oral or other form - between HEIN-i3 and you will be kept strictly confidential.

This includes:

• When asking for a new or adapted import filter eligible downloads from databases need to be shared.

• When trying to remove a reported bug or to develop a required new feature downloaded search results eventually need to be shared.

• Exceptions need to be agreed in written form by email.
