• Joined the Beilstein Institute for Organic Chemistry in Frankfurt in 1985

• Since 1990, active at the BASF Group Information Center in Ludwigshafen:

  • Started as a Research Scientist

  • Appointed Head of his first research group three years later

  • Expanded and managed a growing team of information analysts serving BASF customers worldwide

  • Responsible for integrating emerging technologies, including visualization, text mining, and customer repositories

Professional Activities

• Active participant in the Patent Documentation Group and the Pharma Documentation Ring

• Scientific advisor for the ICIC Conference and AI-SDV Conference conferences

Current Activities

• Following retirement, initiated an intensive “brain training” project, which ultimately led to the development of i3, an information analysis software solution.
